Weaving the Fabric: an evening with Luz Tisera and Silvia Iparraguirre

A sensorial experience at our Olivos showroom

On Thursday 29 June, at 7 pm, we opened Armar la Trama — Weaving the Fabric — at our Olivos showroom: an exhibition where the work of Luz Tisera and Silvia Iparraguirre came together in a visual symphony that found its echo in the musical poetry of Jorge Drexler.

Luz Tisera showed sculptures made from cement, iron, wire, plaster, welded sheet metal and carved stone. They are visually poetic structures, standing for situations bound up with what it is to be human. Each piece carried a sense of movement and a hypnotic fluidity. Tisera captured the very essence of the weave, taking us into a world where shapes came alive and emotions were threaded through with light.

In perfect harmony with the sculptures, Silvia Iparraguirre’s paintings added a further dose of enchantment. Iparraguirre showed a process of experimentation: weavings and paintings connected to a greater force — nature — that speak of a symbolic piece we can associate with the human body and with clothing alike. Her work, full of energy and a distinctive style, carried us into imagined landscapes and invited us into the depth of the emotion held in each brushstroke. It created a fascinating dialogue with Tisera’s sculptures, and made the exhibition richer for it.

The evening was not only a feast for the eyes. Our guests enjoyed a fine selection of wines and a variety of culinary delights. The flavours blended with the atmosphere of the event, making it a complete experience for all the senses. Armar la Trama went beyond the walls of the showroom, creating something shared among everyone who was there.
